Good Vibes…I Want More!

January happened so fast. It was my busiest in what, 6 months? “December was a hectic month” would be an understatement so I am ticking it off on the list.

January...sorry but I already consider this b-u-s-y

I never left Manila to start with. I welcomed the year with TONS of emails, caffeine overload, daydreaming on breaks, revived old pending projects, and to top it all, less sleep. It was the busiest, social life was low. Okay, the only thing exciting for this month was when Inja and I went to San Pablo City to attend a town fiesta at Thiella’s. We took a bus, pigged out (nomnomnom), and watched a suspense/horror flick. The day after, it’s back to business.

 180 degrees turn.

February started with a blast. And by saying that I mean the opposite of being busy yet monotonous. Laid back. Stamped my passport as my first this year. Family time and social life started picking up. Oh! And unexpected loots poured in.

Bangkok started off my travel adventure this year. Met up with friends whom we truly missed, spent quality time with the best travel buddy, had our Dragon Year fortune read, and visited a temple. Usual routine except for something we did for the very first time, took a public bus. Bangkok never fails to give me awesome memories.

Good times!

I was dead serious when I said I retired from being a bag hag but I guess pleasant things happen when you least expect them.

My Samsonite trolley gave up after 8 years of durability together with my 5-year old generic check-in luggage. In my 4 trips last year, I have been dragging and pulling defective luggage. The carry-on was limping from a broken wheel (with a very scandalous sound effect), and the check-in luggage started eating so much of my time locking it. I have left with only 2 options. One is to change them both with generic luggage or get a branded suitcase but that would mean changing only one. It was a tough decision but I thought I would sacrifice not bringing a carry-on until I save more moolah.

I can now send the Samsonite trolley for repair and won't mind waiting 6 weeks. As for the big luggage, it looks rubbish so off to the bin you go...but thanks for keeping up with me for 5 years :)

So yeah, my moolah (I need more projects!) can only allow me to get a medium-sized luggage so I chose the tried and tested Samsonite brand. I got it in yellow, TSA compatible. Problem solved.

Samsonite Aeris weighs 4.8kgs. I got one with TSA combination lock coz maybe, just maybe, someday I'd get the chance to travel to US *fingers crossed*

Someone was so kind enough to get me a carry-on luggage. FTW, it’s Rimowa, baby! *tenchuuuuu*

Rimowa Salsa Air tagged as the lightest Salsa at 2.4kgs, 4-wheel spinner wheels for easy maneuver, with TSA combination lock. I swear, it's light as a feather. :)

On Valentine’s Day aside from the 3 roses (this was unexpected as he stopped doing this for uhmmm 4 years?) my Valentino got me the cutest ugly doll I have ever seen;a tote bag from Marc Jacobs. I.Love.It!

love, love, Love Month

The day after Valentine’s I went out on a movie date with my friend Inja and watched “Unofficially Yours”. I had this impression that the movie was about pseudo relationships or casual sex relationship. I know I won’t relate to the story line, and I am sure I won’t shed a tear but it was such a big surprise when I couldn’t help myself from crying. The movie was not just about being in a non-exclusive relationship, it was one film that will surely touch the hearts of everyone, who at one point in their lives felt the pain of being ignored, taken for granted, and feared taking that risk again. Pasok sa banga!

*jumping to weekend* It was seldom that I come home in Bulacan with all my siblings. Hence, rare to see us all eat together, much more go to a mall with them. And last weekend, it was wonderful to do them all together—gone malling in Bulacan and had dinner with the whole family. It was simple but the happiest!

Family is L.O.V.E

The first two months happened so swiftly and as early as now, I can say I am soooo ready for March, and April, and May, and blah blah blah…in my pink glasses.
